CANAL is a Fashion Design and Production consulting studio created by Silvia Trillo and Eneko Etxebarria, based in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain.

1. Research + DEVELOPMENT
TREND FORECAST
Taking into account client needs, market conditions, the latest trends, brand potential… We proposed trend forecasting and inspirational mood boards to assist brands in the creative process of their collections.
DESIGN AND COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT
Creation, evaluation, and tracking of technical specifications (drawings, measurements, details) and sketches to accurately convey information to suppliers.
MATERIALS SELECTION
We work with our clients to select the necessary fabrics, yarns, and trimmings from a wide range of suppliers, seeking the best options that fit in terms of minimums and quantities to provide the best service. We also handle the management of the materials orders.
2. DESIGN
PATTERN MAKING
We supervise the pattern-making teams of the suppliers and offer the possibility of searching for specific pattern makers based on the complexity of the garment. Once we have the pattern, we review and adjust measurements and details before creating the prototype.
PROTOTYPES / SAMPLING
We monitor the supplier to ensure the proper execution of the master prototype, evaluating it with the supplier and the team to determine the necessary corrections before its delivery.
Once we have the developed sample, we conduct a fitting session with the brand to identify corrections for each of the models.
3. PRODUCTION
PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
With the fashion collection developed and orders submitted by the client, we work with our clothing suppliers to plan the production process for every style. This involves monitoring progress, visiting factories, and resolving any issues to ensure adherence to the agreed-upon delivery dates.
With a network of suppliers in Spain and Portugal, located in strategic points geographically and specific hubs for clothing production, CANAL offers the possibility to carry out any product category within the collection to be developed. Depending on the brand’s needs, productions can be done without a minimum quantity requirement, depending on the selected suppliers.
The foundation of our business is structured around sustainable development, producing locally, controlling it, making the most of fabrics and materials used in the process, selecting recycled materials, and emphasizing with our suppliers the goal of zero waste production.
We feel that part of our responsibility is to educate our customers to have the less impact on their productions that benefit our environment.
